Apart from being extremely beautiful and fascinating in its graphics, it is equally inspiring in its mystical impact. Crafted out of using complex and sacred geometric principles, it is considered as an effective tool of contemplation, worship, and devotion. However, there in an unclear haze about the way it is originated, but researches and stated beliefs suggest that it has been in deployment for ages. Also, the sacred geometry on the basis of which it is drawn is also believed to have originated in India.
The Different Aspects of It
Shree Yantra can be drawn in three most prominent forms of plane, pyramidal, and spherical. It has a total of nine interlocked triangular figures in its centre point or bindu. Among these nine triangles, the five downward pointing triangles represent for Shakti (the female principle) and the four upward facing triangles represent for Shiva (the male principle).
Each of these nine triangles is joined with one ano0ther through common points. It is a complex figure to grab and understand. Also, it is much more difficult to draw it in a precise manner. With too many geometric equations involved in it, one need to be precise not only with the individual and mutual positioning of them, but also of the shape and size of each of the triangles. Even a minor variation in size or positioning of one of the triangles might require altering the size and positioning of all others in proportion.

Establishing Shri Yantra
For establishing this Yantra in either home or office, one has to follow a proper astrology prescribed procedure. On Thursday night, keep the Yantra soaked in saline water, as doing so is believed to eliminate all negativities possibly present in it. On the next day, i.e. on Friday, take it out, wash it with normal water, and keep it under sun on moist land for few hours. After that, initiate the pooja ceremony at the place where the Yantra has to be established.
After placing it in a clean plate, wash the Yantra with a mixture of water and milk comprised of saffron. Then, again wash it with normal water. Follow it by offering incense sticks, fresh yellow flowers, jiggery, and raw turmeric. Also, sprinkle water on Yantra. While doing so, devotedly chant the Mantra of “AimHreem Namah”. Spread out a yellow colored cloth, put a sheet of silver or gold above it, and then establish the Yantra over it. Follow it by marking kumkum or sandal paste on the Yantra. Also, put a coral mala (rosary) around it. Follow it by chanting the Mantra of “Om, Shreem Hreem Shreem Kamle Kamalalaye Praseed, Praseed, Shreem, Hreen Shreem Om Mahalaxmaye Namah” for 108 times on a lotus seed rosary.
